S1E7: VIPS

As Episode 7 of "Squid Game" kicks off, we're down to the final players, and the stakes have never been higher. The episode opens with the remaining contestants gearing up for the next game, which turns out to be a deadly version of glass stepping stones. The players have to hop across a bridge made of glass panels, some of which are tempered and can hold their weight, while others will shatter under them. As they nervously make their way across, more than a few missteps send contestants plummeting to their deaths. In a tense sequence of leaps and guesses, Gi-hun, Sang-woo, and Sae-byeok manage to reach the end just before time runs out. Sang-woo pushes another player to his death in a ruthless move that leaves Gi-hun visibly shaken but also emphasizes the cutthroat nature of the game. Meanwhile, off the game floor, Jun-ho's undercover investigation takes a dangerous turn. After sneaking into the VIP area dressed as one of the masked workers, he manages to gather evidence about the sinister operations behind the games. But just as he's about to make his escape from the island, he's cornered by Front Man. In a shocking twist, it's revealed that Front Man is actually Jun-ho's missing brother, In-ho. The episode wraps up with a cliffhanger as Jun-ho is shot by In-ho and falls into the ocean below, leaving his fate uncertain. Back in the dormitory, Gi-hun, Sang-woo, and Sae-byeok are left to reflect on their dwindling numbers and brace themselves for what's coming next in this brutal survival contest.
