Episode Ending
In Episode 8 of "Squid Game," the tension ramps up as we're down to the wire with only three players left. Gi-hun, Sang-woo, and Sae-byeok are given a lavish dinner, which is a bit like feeding the livestock before the slaughter, considering what's coming next. After the meal, they're left with knives, just in case they didn't get the hint that things are about to get deadly personal. Sae-byeok is in pretty bad shape after the previous game, and she’s bleeding out from a serious wound. Gi-hun notices her condition and tries to get help, but when he turns back, he finds Sang-woo has taken matters into his own hands. Sang-woo coldly stabs Sae-byeok while she’s vulnerable, eliminating her from the game without needing another round. Meanwhile, off on a different storyline, Jun-ho's desperate attempts to expose the games hit a brick wall. He manages to escape to an island and sends evidence of the games via his phone. But his brother, In-ho, who turns out to be the Front Man, catches up with him. In an emotional confrontation, Jun-ho refuses to join his brother and instead takes a bullet from him before falling into the sea. Back in the game world, we see Gi-hun and Sang-woo preparing for what they both know will be their final showdown. The episode leaves us on edge as they face each other, knives in hand, under the watchful eyes of their sinister hosts.
