Episode Ending
In the final episode of "Squid Game," Gi-hun emerges victorious from the deadly games, defeating Sang-woo in the final round. Sang-woo, recognizing his loss, chooses to end his life, leaving Gi-hun as the winner. Gi-hun is left traumatized and initially refuses to touch the prize money. Back in the real world, Gi-hun discovers that his mother has passed away while he was competing. A year later, he is still deeply affected by his experiences and has barely touched his winnings. He lives a modest life until he receives a mysterious invitation to meet the game's mastermind. Gi-hun meets Il-nam, the old man from the games, who reveals himself as the true architect behind the deadly competition. Il-nam explains that he created the games for entertainment and to feel alive, as he was terminally ill. After Il-nam's death, Gi-hun decides to use his wealth for good. He plans to visit his daughter in America but changes course after witnessing another recruitment for the games. He resolves to stop the games once and for all, walking away with a determined look on his face.
