Loki and Sylvie finally reach the Citadel at the End of Time, where they meet He Who Remains, the man behind the TVA curtain. This guy isn't just a quirky recluse with a penchant for apple munching; he's the one orchestrating everything to prevent the multiverse from descending into chaos. He offers them a choice: kill him and risk unleashing countless evil versions of himself or take over his job and maintain order. Loki, ever the pragmatist, sees the wisdom in keeping things as they are, but Sylvie isn't having it. She's on a mission, and compromise isn't on her agenda. The two have a brief but intense fight that ends with Sylvie sending Loki back to the TVA before she stabs He Who Remains, effectively opening up Pandora's multiverse box. Back at the TVA, Loki finds himself in a place that looks familiar but feels off. No one recognizes him, and there's a statue of a different version of He Who Remains in charge now—Kang the Conqueror. Looks like Loki's in for another round of cosmic shenanigans, whether he likes it or not.
