S1E5: Journey into Mystery

Alright, so in "Loki" Season 1, Episode 5, Loki and Sylvie find themselves in the Void, a dumping ground for everything pruned by the Time Variance Authority. It's not exactly a vacation spot, thanks to a smoke monster named Alioth that eats anything in its path. After some banter and a bit of bonding, Loki and Sylvie team up with several Loki variants to figure out how to take down Alioth and escape. Sylvie decides that enchanting Alioth is the way to go. She believes this will help them uncover whoever is really running the TVA. Meanwhile, Classic Loki creates a massive Asgard illusion as a distraction, which is honestly pretty impressive. It’s like the guy’s finally getting his moment to shine before Alioth consumes him. With Classic Loki's sacrifice giving them the chance they need, Sylvie and Loki manage to enchant Alioth together. Their joint effort reveals a portal leading to some sort of castle beyond the Void. The episode wraps up with Loki and Sylvie walking towards this ominous castle, setting the stage for the big reveal of who's pulling the strings behind the TVA curtain. So much for just laying low in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
