Season Ending
In the finale of "Loki - Season 2," things get as tangled as you'd expect when dealing with time travel. Loki and Sylvie finally come face-to-face with He Who Remains, the enigmatic figure pulling the strings at the Time Variance Authority. He offers them a choice: kill him and unleash chaos by releasing his multiverse variants or take his place in maintaining the Sacred Timeline. Loki, ever the strategist, sees the potential disaster in killing He Who Remains and tries to convince Sylvie to think twice about it. Sylvie, however, is driven by revenge and suspicion. She sends Loki back to the TVA using a TemPad and makes her choice by killing He Who Remains, which results in the timeline branching uncontrollably. Back at the TVA, Loki tries to warn Mobius and Hunter B-15 about the impending chaos, only to discover that they don't recognize him. The TVA has changed dramatically, and a statue of Kang—one of He Who Remains' variants—now ominously stands where the Time-Keepers' statue once was. The season closes with Loki realizing that their actions have led to a new multiversal war on the horizon.
