Episode Ending
In the finale of "Loki" Season 2, Episode 6, Loki decides to take matters into his own hands after multiple failed attempts to prevent the Temporal Loom from exploding. He realizes that he needs to harness the power of time itself to create a new system that can handle the branching timelines. So, he goes back to confront He Who Remains and learns that he must take his place to control the timeline. Armed with this knowledge, Loki uses his powers to travel back to the moment when the Loom is about to explode and manages to stop it. He essentially becomes the new ruler of time, fashioning a new structure for the multiverse that can sustain infinite branches without collapsing. This act solidifies his position as a powerful figure in the multiverse, sacrificing his desires for companionship and self-interest for a greater cause. As Loki sits on his new throne, overseeing the vast web of timelines, his friends at the TVA—Mobius, Sylvie, and others—go about their lives with a sense of normalcy restored, at least for now. Mobius decides to take a break and experience life on Earth, leaving behind the TVA for a while. The series closes with Loki alone but in control, having embraced his destiny as a guardian of time.
