S1E8: The Telltale Head

In "Simpsonlar - S1E8: Episode 8," otherwise known as "The Telltale Head," Bart gets the bright idea to cut off the head of the statue of Jebediah Springfield to impress some local bullies. Naturally, this doesn't go over well with the town, which goes into an uproar over the desecration of their beloved founder's statue. Bart, feeling guilty about what he's done, eventually confesses to Homer. In a rare moment of father-son bonding, Homer decides to support Bart and they both head to the town square to own up to the crime. The townspeople are predictably angry at first, but Bart's sincere apology and explanation manage to soften their hearts. In the end, the community forgives Bart for his misguided attempt to fit in with the wrong crowd. The episode wraps up with the statue's head being reattached, and peace is restored in Springfield—at least until Bart's next escapade.
