S3E3: When Flanders Failed

In "Simpsonlar - S3E3: Episode 3," Homer Simpson finds himself in a pickle when he neglects his duties as a safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, leading to a near-catastrophic meltdown. Instead of facing the music, he manages to accidentally save the day by falling onto the control panel and pressing the right buttons, averting disaster. Meanwhile, Bart is up to his usual antics at Springfield Elementary, pulling pranks that backfire spectacularly. This time, he's caught red-handed by Principal Skinner and sentenced to an after-school detention marathon that only ends when Skinner gets distracted by his own endless grievances against Superintendent Chalmers. Back at home, Marge is busy with a self-improvement kick, trying to get the family to eat healthier. Naturally, this goes about as well as you’d expect with Homer around. Lisa supports her mom’s efforts but quickly finds herself outnumbered and outvoted when Homer and Bart turn mealtime into a covert operation to smuggle junk food. The episode wraps up with everything back to normal—or as normal as it gets in Springfield. Homer is hailed as an unlikely hero at work, much to Mr. Burns' confusion, and Bart manages to dodge any real consequences once again. The family gathers for dinner, where Marge reluctantly gives in and serves up a meal that pleases everyone, even if it’s not quite what she had in mind.
