A trip down memory lane to the early days of Simpson wedded bliss, when Marge was with child and Homer was without a job.
Episode Ending
In the "Simpsons" Season 3, Episode 12, titled "I Married Marge," we get a flashback to the early days of Homer and Marge's relationship. It's the 1980s, and young Marge finds out she's pregnant with Bart, prompting Homer to propose. Despite their financial struggles, they decide to get married at a chapel in Shotgun Pete's. Homer, determined to provide for his growing family, gets a job at the nuclear power plant. However, he initially hides this from Marge, worried she might think less of him. When Marge finds out, instead of being disappointed, she's proud of him for taking responsibility. Back in the present day, Homer finishes telling the story to his children. They all gather around Marge as she gets the results of a pregnancy test. Turns out it's negative this time, relieving Homer but leaving a bit of an open question about future additions to the family. The episode wraps with Homer and Marge sharing a tender moment, reaffirming their love and commitment despite the ups and downs they've faced.
