S3E23: Bart's Friend Falls in Love
Bart resents Milhouse's new girlfriend; Homer gets the wrong subliminal tape, which has him gaining vocabulary, not losing weight.
Episode Ending
In "Simpsonlar - S3E23," the episode titled "Bart's Friend Falls in Love," the story wraps up with Milhouse's brief and intense romance with a new girl, Samantha Stanky, causing tension with Bart. Bart, not thrilled about being sidelined, decides to meddle and gets Samantha sent to a Catholic school after informing her father about the relationship. As Milhouse is heartbroken, Bart tries to patch things up by watching an old "Itchy & Scratchy" episode together, which is their usual bonding activity. Despite the betrayal, Milhouse eventually forgives Bart after realizing that their friendship means more than a brief infatuation. Meanwhile, Homer is on his own journey with a subliminal weight-loss tape that turns out to be a vocabulary builder instead. Instead of losing weight, Homer inadvertently becomes more articulate, much to everyone's surprise. The episode concludes with the status quo mostly restored: Bart and Milhouse are back to being best friends, and Homer's vocabulary upgrade doesn't quite make up for his unchanged physique.
