Episode Ending
In "Simpsonlar - S4E3: Episode 3," better known as "Homer the Heretic," Homer decides to skip church on a snowy Sunday morning, much to Marge's dismay. While his family braves the cold for church, Homer revels in his newfound freedom, enjoying a perfect day at home with pancakes, a nap, and a TV marathon. This blissful routine continues until Homer accidentally sets the house on fire while napping with a lit cigar. Luckily, Ned Flanders and other Springfield residents notice the smoke and rush to save him. Despite Homer’s previous dismissals of their religious commitments, they rescue him and put out the fire. Humbled by the experience and grateful for their help, Homer realizes the value of community and decides to return to church. In the end, he attends service with his family, albeit still in his unique Homer fashion — by sleeping through it. The episode wraps with Reverend Lovejoy’s sermon being drowned out by Homer's snoring.
