S4E11: Homer's Triple Bypass
Homer sees a discount doctor for a coronary bypass.
Episode Ending
In "Simpsonlar - S4E11," or rather "The Simpsons" Season 4, Episode 11, titled "Homer's Triple Bypass," Homer finds himself in a dire situation after suffering a heart attack. This is hardly surprising given his diet, but still, it's a wake-up call. He needs a bypass surgery, but the cost is astronomical, and the Simpsons aren't exactly rolling in dough. Desperate, Homer turns to Dr. Nick Riviera, whose medical credentials are as dubious as his accent. Despite the questionable choice of surgeon, Homer's family rallies around him as he prepares for the operation. Dr. Nick’s unorthodox methods are both alarming and comical, but somehow, he manages to pull it off without causing further harm. The surgery miraculously succeeds, thanks to some last-minute guidance from Lisa reading from a medical book. Homer wakes up with his heart fixed and a newfound appreciation for life — at least until his next donut. The family is relieved, and Springfield remains its usual dysfunctional self, with Homer back on his feet and ready to resume his antics.
