Union president Homer fights to keep the dental plan.
Episode Ending
In "Simpsonlar - S4E17," also known as "Last Exit to Springfield," the episode wraps up with Homer unintentionally leading a successful strike at the nuclear power plant. After a series of blunders and misunderstandings, he becomes the hero of the workers when Mr. Burns capitulates and restores the dental plan, allowing Lisa to get the braces she needs. Mr. Burns tries several tactics to break the strike, including cutting off the power to the town, but nothing seems to work against Homer's oblivious yet effective leadership. Meanwhile, Lisa performs at a union rally with a protest song, adding to the workers' morale. In the end, Mr. Burns gives in, realizing that the continued strike would be more costly than conceding to their demands. Homer is hailed as a hero by his fellow workers, even though he never fully grasps how he managed to succeed. The episode closes with everything returning to normal, and Lisa getting her braces without further incident.
