Episode Ending
In "The Simpsons" Season 5, Episode 2, titled "Cape Feare," Sideshow Bob is released from prison and immediately resumes his obsession with killing Bart. The Simpsons enter the witness protection program and relocate to Terror Lake, changing their last name to "Thompson." Bob, undeterred, manages to track them down by strapping himself to the underside of their car. Once at Terror Lake, Bob sneaks onto the family's houseboat and ties up the rest of the family while Bart is left to face him alone. In a desperate bid to delay Bob's murderous intentions, Bart asks him to sing the entire score of "H.M.S. Pinafore." Bob, ever the theatrical villain, agrees and performs a full rendition.
