Episode Ending
In "Simpsonlar - S5E16: Episode 16," titled "Homer Loves Flanders," things start to unravel when Homer, much to everyone's surprise, becomes overly fond of his neighbor Ned Flanders. After enjoying a football game together, Homer decides that Ned is his new best friend and begins spending an excessive amount of time with him, much to Ned's growing annoyance. Ned tries to maintain his patience, but Homer's constant presence starts to wear thin. The situation escalates when Homer invites himself and the entire Simpson family on a camping trip with the Flanders. Ned's frustration reaches a boiling point, leading to a tense confrontation where he finally tells Homer off in front of the entire congregation at church. Despite the outburst, Homer's oblivious nature remains intact. However, the episode wraps up with Ned feeling guilty about his anger, and he apologizes to Homer. In true Homer fashion, he quickly forgets the entire ordeal, and their relationship returns to its typical one-sided dynamic, with Homer remaining blissfully unaware of how close he came to losing his neighbor's friendship.
