S5E18: Burns' Heir
Bart is picked to be Burns' heir and moves into the Burns mansion, prompting Homer and Marge to hire a deprogrammer to get him back.
Episode Ending
In "Simpsons - S5E18: Burns' Heir," Bart ends up auditioning for the role of Charles Montgomery Burns’ heir, after a series of auditions that go about as well as you’d expect with children. Burns chooses Bart due to his rebellious nature and brings him into his mansion, hoping to mold him into a mini-Burns. Bart, enjoying the lavish lifestyle, begins to drift away from the Simpson family. The Simpsons attempt to win Bart back with a comically over-the-top video message, but it fails spectacularly. Eventually, Bart realizes he misses his family despite the luxury and returns home. Back at the mansion, Burns attempts to lure Bart back by staging an elaborate production pretending the Simpsons died in a car crash. However, Bart sees through the charade and opts to stay with his family. In typical fashion, Burns is left without an heir once again, while Bart is back where he belongs, embracing the chaos of life with Homer and the gang.
