S6E15: Homie the Clown

In "The Simpsons" Season 6, Episode 15, titled "Homie the Clown," things wrap up with Krusty the Clown finding himself in hot water with the Springfield Mafia due to his hefty gambling debts. The mob kidnaps Homer, mistaking him for Krusty because of his uncanny resemblance after attending clown college. Krusty and Homer get tied up together by the mob, who demand their money. In a desperate move to save them both, Krusty performs a series of impromptu clown tricks, which momentarily entertain the mobsters and buy them some time. The climax arrives when Homer, still dressed as Krusty, accidentally triggers a trap that crushes the mob boss's prized car with a massive donut. This act inadvertently saves both Homer and Krusty from their predicament as the amused mob decides to let them go, satisfied by the destruction of the car as a form of repayment. The episode ends with Krusty contemplating his life choices, while Homer has inadvertently become a temporary hero.
