S7E9: Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming

In "Simpsonlar - S7E9: Episode 9," also known as "Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming," things kick off with Sideshow Bob escaping from prison, which is just his usual Tuesday. This time, he’s got a grand plan to get rid of television once and for all by threatening to detonate a nuclear bomb at the Springfield Air Show unless all TV broadcasts cease. Of course, nobody takes this well, least of all Krusty the Clown. Bob hijacks a blimp and takes control of the air show, and for a brief moment, it looks like he might actually succeed. But this is Springfield we're talking about. As expected, Homer and Bart get involved. They manage to track Bob to an abandoned airfield hangar where he’s hiding out with the bomb. As Bob prepares to execute his plan, Bart distracts him by engaging him in a debate about whether or not television is inherently evil. This gives Homer enough time to accidentally foil Bob's scheme in classic Homer fashion — by bumbling into the control panel and disarming the bomb without even realizing it. In the end, Sideshow Bob is captured once again, much to his chagrin. He’s carted back to prison while grumbling about his foiled plan, ensuring that Springfield's TV screens remain flickering for another day. All’s well that ends with the Simpsons back on their couch, obliviously watching the tube.
