S7E18: The Day the Violence Died

In "Simpsons - S7E18," which is titled "The Day the Violence Died," the episode concludes with a last-minute twist that saves the day. They discover an old, previously aired film that predated Chester Lampwick's creation, which means that he doesn't own the rights to the characters after all. The studio resumes producing new episodes of "Itchy & Scratchy," much to the delight of Springfield's children. As a nod to their efforts, Meyers gives Bart and Lisa a reward — a $750 check, which they promptly use to buy a new comic book. The episode ends with them happily reading their new purchase, content with having saved their favorite cartoon from extinction.
