Kirk and Luann Van Houten are getting a divorce. Homer is confident that it will never happen to him, but Kirk tells him how quickly things can change.
Episode Ending
In the "Simpsonlar" episode titled "A Milhouse Divided," things wrap up with a classic Springfield twist. After Kirk and Luann Van Houten's messy divorce, Homer starts worrying about his own marriage. In an attempt to avoid a similar fate, he throws a disastrous dinner party that ends with Luann declaring she's leaving Kirk. Homer's paranoia leads him to try and rekindle the romance with Marge by planning a surprise wedding ceremony at their home. Naturally, this involves some hasty preparation and the help of Reverend Lovejoy, who performs the ceremony despite all the chaos. Marge is initially upset about the surprise but ultimately touched by Homer's gesture. They renew their vows in front of their friends and family, bringing the episode to a close with Homer feeling reassured about their relationship. Meanwhile, Kirk is left to deal with his new single life, highlighted by his terrible music career.
