S8E12: Mountain of Madness

In "Simpsonlar - S8E12," also known as "The Springfield Files," things get weird when Homer claims he saw an alien in the woods. Naturally, nobody believes him, because why would they? Enter FBI agents Mulder and Scully, who arrive to investigate because Springfield is clearly where all the action is. Homer's credibility takes a nosedive as his attempts to prove the alien's existence fall flat. This includes everything from failed lie detector tests to unconvincing sketches. Undeterred, he drags Bart out to the woods, hoping for a repeat encounter. Sure enough, the alien shows up again, but this time the whole town is there to witness it. The mysterious being walks out of the woods, glowing and eerie. But surprise! It's just Mr. Burns, glowing from his weekly medical treatments and sedatives. The episode wraps with everyone singing "Good Morning Starshine," because why not end on a cheerful note after a town-wide panic?
