When Prohibition is revived in Springfield, Homer and Bart supply the town with alcohol.
Episode Ending
In "Simpsonlar - S8E18," also known as "Homer vs. the Eighteenth Amendment," Homer takes on the role of a bootlegger after Springfield enforces Prohibition. With Moe's Tavern shut down, Homer transforms his basement into a secret brewery. As "Beer Baron," he supplies the town with alcohol using an elaborate system of bowling balls. Meanwhile, Rex Banner, a no-nonsense lawman, is brought in to catch the elusive bootlegger. He becomes increasingly frustrated as Homer cleverly evades capture. Despite Banner's best efforts, he can't seem to pin anything on Homer, who remains a step ahead with his creative delivery methods. Eventually, Homer's luck runs out when Marge discovers his operation and demands he stop. Homer turns himself in, but in a twist, it's revealed that the Prohibition law was repealed decades ago due to a clerical error. Banner gets launched out of town on a catapult, and everything returns to normal with Moe reopening his tavern. Springfield is back to its usual boozy antics, and Homer casually resumes his beer-drinking ways.
