S9E22: Trash of the Titans

In "Simpsonlar - S9E22," also known as "Trash of the Titans," things wrap up after Homer’s disastrous stint as Springfield’s Sanitation Commissioner. It all starts when Homer gets annoyed by the garbage men and decides to run for their boss. He wins, promising absurdly good service, but naturally, he has no plan to back it up. Homer’s approach to waste management quickly bankrupts the department. His solution? Import other cities' garbage to make some money. Predictably, this ends with Springfield buried under mountains of trash. In a last-ditch effort to clean up, the town relocates five miles down the road. The episode closes with Springfield 2.0 looking suspiciously like Springfield 1.0, except without the trash and with everyone just a little more wary of Homer’s ideas.
