S10E2: The Wizard of Evergreen Terrace

In "The Wizard of Evergreen Terrace," Homer becomes inspired by Thomas Edison and decides to become an inventor himself. After a series of failed inventions, Homer finally creates a "makeup gun" and a chair with an extra set of legs that prevent it from tipping over. Homer's excitement dwindles when he discovers that Edison had already invented a similar chair. Determined to maintain his newfound respect for Edison, Homer travels to Edison's museum to destroy the chair and preserve Edison's legacy. However, upon seeing Edison's admiration for his own inventions, Homer decides not to destroy it. The episode wraps up with Homer's chair invention inadvertently becoming successful after it's discovered by museum-goers. Meanwhile, Lisa discovers that Edison was inspired by Leonardo da Vinci, much like Homer was inspired by Edison, bringing the story full circle.
