Episode Ending
In "Simpsonlar - S11E15," also known as "Missionary: Impossible," Homer finds himself in a bit of a pickle after he makes a fake donation pledge to PBS during a telethon, thinking it won't have any consequences. Surprise, surprise, it does. The network comes after him for the money, and Homer, ever the quick thinker, decides that fleeing is the best option. He runs to Reverend Lovejoy, who conveniently sends him off on a mission to a remote Pacific island. Once there, Homer attempts to convert the locals to Christianity but ends up introducing them to gambling and other less-than-holy activities. Naturally, this doesn't end well when the island's volcano erupts. In true Homer fashion, chaos ensues, but he manages to redeem himself by inadvertently saving the islanders from the eruption. Just when things seem to be wrapping up nicely with Homer as a hero, PBS finds him and drags him back home to face the consequences of his unpaid pledge. And that's where we leave Homer — facing his problems head-on for once, albeit involuntarily.
