After struggling with her dance lessons, Lisa decides to use a concealed device that makes her appear to be an excellent tap dancer. The device, however, goes haywire during the performance, causing chaos on stage. Meanwhile, Bart and Milhouse are camping out in the mall, hiding from the security guard. They end up getting trapped overnight but eventually escape by causing a commotion that distracts the guard. In the end, both Lisa and Bart manage to return home without their parents discovering the full extent of their misadventures.
