Season 12

In the season 12 finale of "The Simpsons," titled "Simpsons Tall Tales," the family wins a trip to Delaware. However, they end up hopping a freight train instead, because why not? Once aboard, they meet a hobo who decides to entertain them with tall tales, and that's where the real fun starts. First, we get to hear the tale of Paul Bunyan, with Homer stepping into the oversized shoes of the legendary lumberjack. Naturally, Homer's giant-sized antics cause chaos before he eventually saves the town from a meteor by eating it. Because, of course, that's what you do with meteors. Next up is the story of Connie Appleseed, with Lisa as a pioneer determined to plant apple trees across the land. Her mission to promote healthy eating faces resistance from Springfield’s fast-food-loving townsfolk, but she eventually wins them over with her persistence and apple-based culinary delights. The final tale features Bart as Tom Sawyer, with Bart and Nelson as best friends getting into all sorts of trouble on the Mississippi River. Their misadventures include faking their own deaths for a laugh and running afoul of a dangerous gang led by none other than Moe. The hobo's stories wrap up just as the train reaches its destination, leaving the family entertained and ready for their next misadventure.
