S12E5: Homer vs. Dignity

In "Simpsonlar - S12E5: Episode 5," also known as "Homer vs. Dignity," things take a turn when Mr. Burns decides to use Homer as his personal jester, paying him to perform increasingly humiliating pranks for money. Homer, in need of cash for his family, reluctantly agrees and begins to carry out Burns' ridiculous demands. Eventually, the antics reach a boiling point when Homer is asked to throw pudding at the audience during a performance at the Springfield Philharmonic. With Lisa in attendance, Homer hesitates, realizing the impact his actions have on his dignity and his daughter’s perception of him. In a rare moment of clarity, Homer refuses to follow through with the prank. Homer's decision to stand up for himself earns him back some respect from his family and those around him. In true Springfield fashion, the episode wraps up with the town forgiving and forgetting, as they often do, with everything returning to its usual status quo. Mr. Burns, meanwhile, is left to find new ways to entertain himself, as Homer resumes his life as an average Springfield resident.
