While working as a human guinea pig (to pay off the family's lost savings after making a bad investment), Homer discovers the root cause of his subnormal intelligence: a crayon that was lodged in his brain ever since he was a boy. He decides to have it removed to increase his IQ, but discovers that being smart does not necessarily equal being happy.

In the episode "Simpsonlar - S12E9," the Simpsons find themselves in a bit of a jam when Homer becomes the new host of a popular morning radio show. Things take a turn when his antics get out of hand, eventually leading to his firing. Who could have seen that coming? Meanwhile, Bart and Lisa are busy with their own subplot, involving a science fair project gone awry. They end up creating a miniature civilization that hilariously self-destructs, which is about as well as you'd expect anything to go when Bart's involved.
