S12E10: Pokey Mom

In "Simpsonlar - S12E10," Homer stumbles upon a fortune-telling machine at a carnival, which tells him he will die in the future. Naturally, this prompts Homer to take some wild actions, trying to avoid his foretold doom. As you might expect, his antics lead to chaos around Springfield, and not in a subtle way. Meanwhile, Lisa finds herself intrigued by the fortune-teller's prediction and sets out to debunk it using her trusty scientific methods. She believes she can prove that destiny is a bunch of hooey. Her quest brings her head-to-head with the carnival's mysterious fortune-teller, Madame Xena. By the end of the episode, after a series of misadventures and misunderstandings, Homer realizes that he shouldn't be obsessed with predictions and that he should just live his life to the fullest. Lisa manages to expose Madame Xena as a fraud, confirming that the future is not set in stone. The family returns home, leaving behind yet another day of Springfield shenanigans.
