The 13th Treehouse of Horror episode, consisting of three self-contained segments. Send in the Clones – Homer buys a hammock that can produce clones of himself. He creates numerous clones to help him around the house, but they soon overrun Springfield. The Fright to Creep and Scare Harms – Lisa petitions the town to get rid of their firearms after discovering the gravestone of a young man named William Bonney who died from gun violence. However, Lisa soon discovers that William Bonney is the real name of Western outlaw Billy the Kid, whose ghost, along with the ghosts of other infamous criminals, takes over the defenseless town. The Island of Dr. Hibbert – Dr. Hibbert invites the citizens of Springfield to his island resort, where he turns them into animals.
Episode Ending
The episode kicks off with the Simpsons attending a Renaissance fair, where Homer gets into trouble, as usual, after he angers a group of jousters. This escapade leads to Homer finding a magic amulet that grants him three wishes. Naturally, Homer wastes no time in making his first wish for a sandwich, which turns out to be too dry for his liking. Lisa, ever the voice of reason, suggests using the second wish to solve world hunger, but Homer has other ideas. He wishes for fame and fortune instead, which leads to the family becoming reality TV stars. This newfound celebrity status comes with its own set of problems, as their lives are broadcast 24/7, and the public quickly grows tired of their antics. In a desperate attempt to regain their privacy and return to normalcy, Homer uses his final wish to undo all previous wishes. Predictably, this lands them right back at square one: back at home with no sandwich, no fame, and just their usual chaotic life. The episode wraps up with the family realizing that maybe their simple existence isn't so bad after all — not that Homer would ever admit it.
