In "The Simpsons" Season 19, Episode 2, titled "The Homer of Seville," the episode wraps up with Homer unexpectedly becoming an opera star due to his newfound ability to sing while lying on his back. His fame attracts a devoted but obsessive fan named Julia, who eventually kidnaps him. Julia's plan is thwarted when Marge, alongside Bart and Lisa, tracks them down to an abandoned opera house. In a twist of fate befitting a sitcom, Homer is saved from Julia's clutches when she accidentally gets knocked out. The family reunites, and Homer decides that the opera life isn't worth the hassle of crazed fans, so he gives up his singing career, returning to his usual life in Springfield without further ado.
