S20E10: Take My Life, Please

In the "Simpsons" episode titled "Take My Life, Please," Homer discovers that he was once elected as class president in high school, but Principal Dondelinger rigged the election in favor of his rival, Artie Ziff. Feeling cheated out of his past glory, Homer becomes obsessed with what might have been. Homer's fixation leads him to a magical Italian restaurant where the cook serves him a special sauce that shows him an alternate reality in which he had won. In this imagined life, Homer is rich and successful, living in a mansion with Marge and their kids. However, he soon realizes that not everything is perfect in this alternate reality, as his relationships suffer due to his ambitious career. Ultimately, Homer returns to his real life and appreciates what he has, despite not having been class president. The episode wraps up with Homer coming to terms with his past and valuing his family and current life over the potential what-ifs of his high school election.
