It’s been a year of calm. Homelander’s subdued. Butcher works for the government, supervised by Hughie of all people. But both men itch to turn this peace and quiet into blood and bone. So when The Boys learn of a mysterious Anti-Supe weapon, it sends them crashing into the Seven, starting a war, and chasing the legend of the first Superhero: Soldier Boy.

Season Ending

In the season finale of "The Boys" Season 3, we find ourselves amid the chaos as Homelander confronts Soldier Boy, who is supposed to be his father. The family reunion doesn't go as planned; turns out, having a homicidal maniac for a dad isn't all it's cracked up to be. Soldier Boy isn't interested in father-son bonding and instead plans to wipe out everyone with his nuclear-level powers. Meanwhile, Butcher teams up with Maeve to take down Homelander, but things get complicated when Starlight and the rest of The Boys intervene. Maeve, in a surprisingly heroic move, sacrifices herself by tackling Soldier Boy out of a window to prevent him from going nuclear inside Vought Tower. Spoiler alert: she survives but ends up powerless, finally getting her chance at a normal life. Homelander, on the other hand, keeps sinking deeper into villainy. He introduces his son Ryan to the world after taking him from Butcher's care. In a chilling finale moment, Homelander publicly kills a protester with his laser vision, and instead of outrage, he gets applause from his followers. Ah yes, nothing like a little public execution to win hearts and minds. Ryan seems intrigued by this side of his dad, hinting at some future father-son bonding over evil deeds.
