S1E6: Chapter Six: The Monster

In "Stranger Things" Season 1, Episode 6, the gang continues their search for Will and Barb. Joyce teams up with Hopper, who decides to break into Hawkins Lab to uncover the truth. The two of them discover a hidden entrance to the Upside Down but are caught and kicked out by security. Meanwhile, Nancy and Jonathan set a trap for the Demogorgon, using blood to lure it in. Their makeshift plan goes awry when the creature doesn't show up, leaving them frustrated and more determined than ever. Back at Mike's house, Eleven uses her powers to contact Will through a makeshift sensory deprivation tank set up in the school gym. She sees him in the Upside Down, alive but in danger. The episode wraps up with tensions escalating on all fronts. Joyce and Hopper are more convinced than ever that something sinister is happening at the lab, while Mike, Dustin, and Lucas continue to rely on Eleven's powers to find their missing friend. As night falls, everyone prepares for another round of confrontation with the unknown threats looming over Hawkins.
