S3E2: Chapter Two: The Mall Rats

Alright, so let's dive into the end of "Stranger Things" Season 3, Episode 2. Hopper tries to get some quality time with Joyce but ends up annoyed when she bails on their dinner plans to investigate those pesky magnets. Ever the intrepid detective, Joyce ropes in Mr. Clarke to help her figure out why her magnets have gone on strike. Meanwhile, Nancy and Jonathan continue their sleuthing at the Hawkins Post, following a lead on the mysterious rat story. They visit Mrs. Driscoll, who has a basement full of rats acting very strange indeed. Nancy's instincts tell her something bigger is brewing, while Jonathan's just hoping they don't get fired for chasing vermin. Over at the mall, Steve and Dustin are busy decoding a secret Russian transmission. With Robin's help, they manage to crack part of it and discover something about a delivery happening at the mall. The mystery deepens, but no one has time to pause for a pretzel. And out in the woods, Billy is having a rough night. After his unpleasant encounter at the steel mill, he's not quite himself. He kidnaps Heather, his lifeguard colleague, and drags her to meet his new creepy pals in what looks like a decidedly unfriendly scenario. So yeah, things in Hawkins are getting stranger by the minute.
