S3E6: Chapter Six: E Pluribus Unum

In the sixth episode of "Stranger Things" Season 3, things ramp up as our group of heroes splits into different missions. Joyce and Hopper are off on their own adventure, having been captured by Russian operatives but managing to escape with Alexei, the Russian scientist. They head to Murray Bauman's place for help, where they try to learn more about what the Russians are up to. Meanwhile, back at the mall, Steve, Robin, Dustin, and Erica are stuck in an underground Russian base. They get dosed with some truth serum-esque concoction that leads to some wild confessions and a fair bit of giggling. Eventually, they manage to escape their captors and find a way out, although not without some close calls. In the heart of Hawkins, Eleven and the rest of the gang are dealing with the aftermath of Billy's encounter with the Mind Flayer. Eleven uses her powers to find Billy's location and sees visions of his troubled past. This gives them insight into what they're up against, as well as clues about how to stop the Mind Flayer. The episode wraps up with the various groups realizing that they need to come together to face the looming threat. Billy is still under the influence of the Mind Flayer, setting things up for a showdown as everyone prepares for battle. It’s clear that things in Hawkins are about to get even more intense.
