S4E3: Chapter Three: The Monster and the Superhero

As "Stranger Things" Season 4, Episode 3 wraps up, Max is still haunted by visions of the grandfather clock and is clearly unsettled. Meanwhile, Nancy and Robin decide to dig into the background of Victor Creel, hoping to find out more about the strange happenings in Hawkins. They team up to head to the library for some good old-fashioned research. Elsewhere, Joyce and Murray are in Alaska, following up on their lead about Hopper. They manage to get themselves into a dicey situation with a smuggler named Yuri, who seems more interested in double-crossing them than helping. Hopper, meanwhile, continues his own battle for survival in the Russian prison, trying to find a way to escape. Back in Hawkins, things heat up as Eleven faces the consequences of her actions at the skating rink. She's taken away by Dr. Owens, who promises her a way to regain her powers if she agrees to come with him. The episode closes with tensions rising across the board, leaving everyone teetering on the edge of chaos as mysteries deepen and alliances are tested.
