S1E1: Pilot

After a wild adventure in an alternate dimension, Rick and Morty return home. Rick has forced Morty to carry a giant, potentially life-saving mega seed in a rather uncomfortable place. The duo barely escape back to their dimension after some chaotic antics involving interdimensional customs. Back home, Morty is in bad shape from his ordeal, staggering and barely coherent. As Morty collapses onto the living room floor, Rick explains to Morty's parents, Jerry and Beth, that he's been keeping Morty out of school for educational interdimensional trips, much to Jerry's disapproval. The episode wraps up with Rick rambling about how their adventures will be ongoing, setting the tone for the series. He declares that it's all "Rick and Morty forever," as he continues to rant nonsensically while Morty remains incapacitated on the floor. Classic Rick, already plotting more questionable escapades with his beleaguered grandson.
