Episode Ending

In the second episode of "Rick and Morty," Rick and Morty deal with the aftermath of a love potion gone awry. Rick's attempt to help Morty woo his crush, Jessica, backfires spectacularly when the love potion spreads uncontrollably, thanks to a flu outbreak at the school dance. Rick's subsequent attempts to fix the situation only make things worse. Each solution leads to further mutations, eventually transforming humanity into grotesque creatures called "Cronenbergs." Realizing the situation is irreparable, Rick decides the best course of action is to abandon their current reality altogether. Rick and Morty escape to an alternate dimension where they find versions of themselves who have just died in a freak lab accident. They assume these versions' lives, burying their own corpses in the backyard. The episode closes with Morty, visibly traumatized, as he silently accepts his new reality while Rick resumes business as usual.
