S1E8: Rixty Minutes

In the episode "Rick and Morty - S1E8: Rixty Minutes," things wrap up with a rather unique family counseling session, courtesy of interdimensional cable. Jerry, Beth, and Summer are left grappling with alternate versions of their lives, seen through the bizarre lens of other realities. Jerry and Beth contemplate what could have been if they hadn't ended up together, while Summer discovers she's an unwanted pregnancy. Meanwhile, Morty tries to cheer up Summer by revealing that he and Rick once abandoned their original reality because they accidentally caused a global catastrophe. He shows her the graves of their original selves, which are conveniently located in the backyard. It's not exactly a Hallmark moment, but it does make Summer feel better about her own life. The episode ends with the family sitting together, watching more interdimensional TV. They might be dysfunctional, but at least they're together. Morty reassures Summer that nobody exists on purpose, nobody belongs anywhere, and everyone is going to die — but hey, they can still watch some weird TV while they're at it.
