S2E2: Mortynight Run
Rick teaches Morty to drive while leaving Jerry at a popular day care made just for him. Morty's conscience has him hunt down an assassin rather than spending the day at an alien arcade.
Episode Ending
In the "Rick and Morty" episode titled "Mortynight Run," things wrap up in typical interdimensional fashion. After a series of chaotic misadventures, Morty ends up freeing Fart, the gaseous being that Rick had captured for Krombopulos Michael, the assassin. Morty, in a surprising twist of conscience, decides to stop Fart from carrying out its plan to eradicate all carbon-based life forms. The duo finds themselves in a standoff on a remote planet, where Morty must make a tough decision. Realizing that Fart's intentions are far more sinister than they seemed, Morty uses Rick's gun to kill Fart, putting an end to the threat it posed. Meanwhile, Rick is busy at Blips and Chitz, blowing off steam by playing Roy: A Life Well Lived. Back on Earth, Jerry is accidentally left at an intergalactic daycare meant for Jerrys from various dimensions. Rick eventually swings by to pick him up, but not before Jerry has been thoroughly bewildered by his time there. The episode concludes with everything back to its usual dysfunctional normalcy—except maybe Morty, who’s now grappling with the moral complexity of his actions.
