S3E6: Rest and Ricklaxation
Rick and Morty need a break.
Episode Ending
In "Rick and Morty" Season 3, Episode 6, Rick and Morty find themselves in a pickle of a situation—literally. Rick has turned himself into a pickle to avoid family therapy. As things tend to go with Rick, this seemingly simple plan spirals out of control. Rick-the-Pickle ends up in a sewer where he MacGyvers his way through rat-infested tunnels, using the carcasses of the critters to build an exoskeleton. Naturally, this leads to an intense showdown with some rather confused sewer workers, because why not. Meanwhile, the family is at therapy with Dr. Wong, who isn't buying Beth's excuses for Rick's absence. Despite Beth’s insistence that her father is just busy, Dr. Wong makes it clear that there's more going on than meets the eye—though not quite in the way she suspects. Rick eventually makes it out of the sewer and into a Russian compound (because of course there's a secret base nearby), where he battles armed guards and escapes via helicopter, proving once again that even as a pickle, he's unstoppable. By episode's end, Rick rejoins the family at therapy, dripping in brine and blood. As usual, everything returns to some version of normal—until the next episode.
