S4E1: Edge of Tomorty: Rick Die Rickpeat
Morty goes nuts this time. Rick does stuff.
Episode Ending
Alright, so by the end of "Rick and Morty" Season 4, Episode 1, Rick's latest adventure goes predictably off the rails. After dying in one of their escapades, Rick's consciousness gets sent through a series of alternate universe clones. Each new clone is in a different reality, and most of them are fascist—because why not? Meanwhile, back home, Morty gets his hands on a death crystal that shows him potential futures. He becomes obsessed with trying to engineer a future where he dies with Jessica by his side. This obsession naturally spirals out of control, leading him to make increasingly reckless decisions. Rick eventually manages to return to his original universe with the help of a wasp version of himself—yes, that's exactly what it sounds like. He finds Morty completely taken over by the crystal's influence and has to fight him to knock some sense back into his grandson. In the end, they destroy the crystal and restore some semblance of normalcy. Jessica? She's still oblivious to Morty's infatuation. But hey, at least the universe hasn't imploded—yet.
