S4E9: Childrick of Mort

In "Rick and Morty" Season 4, Episode 9, things kick off with Rick turning himself into a shrimp and then a more manageable pickle, all to avoid a family therapy session. He manages to break free by exploiting this concept, creating an alternate reality where nothing matters and everything is a story. They return home, only to find that their adventure was part of a toy train set Morty bought for Rick as a gift. As the episode wraps up, Rick dismisses the entire ordeal as non-canon and unimportant. Morty tries to extract some lesson from it all, but Rick isn't having any of it. The episode ends with them acknowledging their lives are dictated by randomness and chaos — exactly what they were trying to escape in the first place.
