S4E10: Star Mort Rickturn of the Jerri
Parenting is crazy, broh. Stuff straight disappearin' in this one.
Episode Ending
In "Rick and Morty" Season 4, Episode 10, the chaos wraps up with a bit of family drama and existential angst. After an episode filled with clones and decoys, Beth discovers that she might be a clone herself. Of course, Rick is no help in resolving this identity crisis, as even he doesn’t know which Beth is the original. The episode reaches its climax with a showdown between Space Beth, who has been living a galactic adventure life, and Domestic Beth, who stayed on Earth. The two Beths finally confront Rick about his decision to clone one of them and not even bother to know which is which. Rick admits he shuffled their memories to avoid knowing who the real one is, which doesn’t exactly win him any Father of the Year awards. In true "Rick and Morty" fashion, they all decide to just live with the ambiguity. The Smith family ends up having dinner together, accepting their peculiar reality without any further need for clarity. Rick, left alone in his garage, reflects on his choices—or rather the lack thereof—while listening to sad music, because why not end on a note of existential dread?
