Season 5

In the season finale of "Rick and Morty" Season 5, things get a bit wild. It all starts when Evil Morty finally makes his big move. He reveals his master plan to break free from the Central Finite Curve, a construct designed by Ricks to separate universes where they are the smartest beings from those where they're not. Basically, Evil Morty wants to escape the Rick-dominated multiverse and see what's outside. Meanwhile, our Rick and Morty are dealing with their own issues. Morty confronts Rick about their relationship, tired of being treated like a disposable sidekick. Rick's got his own flashbacks to sort through, which include some heavy revelations about his past, including the fact that his original Beth might have been killed, leading him down this path of hopping through universes. The episode culminates with Evil Morty successfully destroying the Citadel and stepping into the unknown outside the Central Finite Curve. Morty decides to stick with Rick despite everything, and they head back home. Evil Morty's fate is left hanging in the balance as he walks into a multiverse where Ricks aren't the top dogs anymore.
