S5E1: Mort Dinner Rick Andre

Alright, so in "Rick and Morty" Season 5, Episode 1, things kick off with Rick nearly dying, as usual. Morty manages to crash-land their spaceship into the ocean near their house. This, of course, awakens Mr. Nimbus, Rick's flamboyant nemesis who controls the police and is apparently the king of the ocean. Rick has to entertain Mr. Nimbus to negotiate a peace treaty while Morty is trying to impress his crush, Jessica. Morty’s plan involves aging wine in a dimension where time moves differently, but it goes predictably awry. Every time he returns, the society in that dimension becomes more advanced and vengeful due to his interference. Meanwhile, Rick and Mr. Nimbus engage in their own bizarre rivalry. Summer is sent on a mission to retrieve special shells for Rick, but Mr. Nimbus ends up besting Rick by seducing Beth and Jerry, which leads to them getting distracted from guarding the house. In a chaotic climax, Mr. Nimbus ultimately defeats Rick by calling the police on him while Morty inadvertently becomes a hero in the alternate dimension by defeating their oppressive regime. Mr. Nimbus declares himself victorious and swims off into the sunset, leaving Rick defeated and humiliated once again. The episode wraps up with Morty’s romantic hopes dashed when Jessica experiences time differently and decides she wants to be friends instead. Classic.
