S6E3: Bethic Twinstinct
Gotta love yourself or no one else ever will, broh.
Episode Ending
In "Rick and Morty" Season 6, Episode 3, titled "Bethic Twinstinct," things take a turn for the awkward at Thanksgiving when Space Beth and Beth start to develop feelings for each other. Yes, you read that right—Beth falls for her own clone. As this unusual romance unfolds, Jerry finds out and, in typical Jerry fashion, he takes it surprisingly well, thanks to some self-help advice from a Venusian therapist. Meanwhile, Morty and Summer are busy distracting themselves from the whole situation by playing a virtual video game called "Asteroids." They try to avoid the family drama unfolding around them. Eventually, the two Beths decide they want to continue their relationship but plan to keep it secret from the family. By the end of the episode, Jerry puts his foot down in a bizarrely confident manner. He insists on being involved in their relationship, turning it into a polyamorous triad. The episode wraps up with an uneasy truce within the family, as they awkwardly embrace their new dynamic. So, instead of a typical Thanksgiving dinner, the Smith family ends up with a uniquely complicated relationship status.
